Brussels

13. Oktober 2015 Belgium, Places

Our last city in Belgium was the capital – Brussels!

Where we stayed:
At Hello-Hostel. Although I booked our room for the wrong month, we got a very nice bedroom for two.

What to do:
If you’re interested in all the buildings of the EU, do the European Walk of  the ‘Use it’ Map. It’s a map for young people with insider tips from locals and a lot of nice walking routes.
– Visit the Musée Royal de l’Armée. It’s free,  you get to see a massive exhibition of military history and if you take the elevator to the top you’ll have a great view over Brussels
– Visit the Magritte museum

What we’ve learned:
that pepper spray is forbidden in Belgium
– the Manneken Pis is super tiny
–  the architect wo built the city hall of Brussels committed suicide by jumping off the tower, when he discovered that that the tower isn’t located in the middle of the city hall
